For Copenhagen Fashion Week 2022, we were invited by the Revolver fair to take over Julius Thomsens Plads in front of Forum and put our unique stamp on it.
Rather than creating a closed space that was only available to fashion show attendees, it seemed like the perfect opportunity to show our appreciation to the community, give a little bit back.
So, we’re pleased to announce that for the entirety of fashion week from the 10th to the 12th of August, the space will be open to everyone.
We immediately thought of installing a half-size basketball court in the area, and Copenhagen’s position as our home city inspired the name of the space: HomeCourt.
As you would expect, we’ve got some big things planned.
Playing into one of our core themes of duality, we’re installing a pétanque, or boules, court opposite the basketball court, where you can have some sedate fun in the summer sun with a casual game.
The completely contrasting style, pace, and community of pétanque is the perfect juxtaposition to basketball, which is why we were so drawn to it.
We’ll provide the balls and all the equipment you need to play basketball and pétanque between the hours of 07:00 to 20:00 while HomeCourt is open. After the equipment is locked away for the night, you’re more than welcome to use the space, though you’ll need to bring your own gear.
With sports areas flanking either end of HomeCourt, we decided that the central area should be all about relaxation and socializing, and we’ve partnered up with Kaffekværnen, Banana, and Fuglsang brewery. You’ll be able to start your day off in the right way with a strong coffee, relax with a cold drink after work, or just have an ice cream in the sun. There will also be a van from the team over at Gasoline Grill, who will be on hand over the three days cooking up some delicious organic burgers.
What’s more, we’ve also got some exciting events planned for HomeCourt to celebrate the fantastic residents and visitors of Copenhagen.
You can see the schedule and sign up for specific HomeCourt events below. All the activities are completely free to attend, and if you can’t make it, you’re welcome to use the facilities around these times. The space will open between 07:00 and 20:00 on the 10th – 11th August, and 07:00 – 16:00 on Friday 12th August.
We’re looking forward to seeing you there!
