Our partnership with KaDeWe Group moves to new heights
After sustained success in Germany, our partnership with the KaDeWeGroup has deepened with the opening of a permanent shop-in-shop in Kaufhaus des Westen in Berlin - continental Europe’s largest luxury department store.
The news comes fresh on the heels of the installation of a temporary pop-up store in KaDeWe Berlin for the month of September, along with a brand-new pop-up at the group’s Hamburg department store, Alsterhaus.
Another step in the strategy
It marks another step in our international strategy, which focuses on launching exciting new retail partnerships in the most relevant markets and demonstrates the trust that KaDeWe Group have placed in us.
Our Co-Founder, Andreas von der Heide, explained more.
“We’re exceptionally excited and proud to be on this journey with KaDeWe, and it proves that with dedication and teamwork, anything is possible. With the permanent store in Berlin and the pop-up in Hamburg, we’re building upon the success we’ve had in Germany over the past few years,” he said.
The opening follows fresh on the heels of recent partnerships with big international department stores like Galeries Lafayette in Paris, Beyman in Turkey, Nordstrom in the US, and Tessuti in the UK.
Culture Is The Foundation
For von der Heide, it all comes down to the foundation that Les Deux has been built on.
“Culture is the fundamental part of our DNA. Ever since the beginning, the focus has been on building a community that people want to be a part of – both internally and externally. And to do that, you need to be open, welcoming, and show people that you really care about them. Just talking about it isn’t enough. It’s got to be through your actions.”
Our Travelling team provides evidence of this mentality at work. In order to give the best possible level of support to KaDeWe, they visited the permanent store in Berlin and the pop-up in Alsterhaus and worked overnight to help set them up.
They then followed this up with morning training sessions for the talented sales assistants, telling them the background and story of our brand and offering pointers when it comes to selling Les Deux clothing.
“We want to be the brand that helps our partners the most,” Von der Heide continued. “Giving them, and our community, a truly phenomenal experience is ultimately what it’s all about,” he finished.
